Solarplate etching is an alternative etching process that uses light instead of the acids and grounds traditionally used in the etching process.  A light-sensitive polymer plate has replaced the copper plate and the drawing or image is etched into the plate through exposure to light. The image is then developed and set by light and the traditional inking, cleaning and printing process continues.  I hand-pull each solar plate etching from the press and the number pulled determines the edition.
